More Details About Our 500 Rounds of 100gr FMJ 6.5 Grendel Ammo by Wolf
Firing a 6.5 Grendel rifle? Love it. We’d do it every day if we could. Paying for 6.5 Grendel ammunition? Nowhere near as fun. We wish it was free instead. But until scientists figure out a way to plant ammo trees, Wolf’s Russian-made 6.5 Grendel ammunition is going to prove your most cost-effective solution.
Why is this ammo so affordable? That’s the power of steel, friend. This ammo’s cases are made of steel instead of brass (an alloy which is about 90 percent semi-precious copper). Now, steel cases are more rigid, which comes with two main drawbacks. First, the steel case won’t expand to create quite as tight a seal against the chamber during ignition. That means more fouling in the action. Steel cases also don’t snap back to their original dimensions after ignition, which is why they’re impossible to reload without special equipment (and even then it’s not worth the trouble).
This ammo’s 100 grain bullets are normal full metal jackets but with one important exception: They have bi-metal jackets, which are mostly made out of steel and will accordingly attract a magnet. But if your range doesn’t care about magnetic ammo – or you’re just shooting targets on your own property – then there’s really no drawback to a bi-metal jacket.
This new production ammunition’s Berdan primers are noncorrosive.
