More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 130gr PHP .270 Win Short Mag Ammo by Winchester
This ammunition will not work in a 270 Win rifle.
Finally! Proper 270 WSM ammunition for hunting, and made by Winchester no less. This is The Big W’s Power Max Bonded series cartridge, which features the 130 grain Bonded Rapid Expansion protected hollow point projectile.
This bullet’s tough high-antimony lead core is welded to its contoured copper-alloy jacket. Bonding solves the problem of core/jacket separation that can cause too shallow a wound channel to reach a quarry’s heart or other vital organ. Superior weight retention is the key to a fast and humane kill!
The PHP bullet doesn’t operate all that differently from the kind of JHP you would fire out of a pistol. Its nose cavity unleashes deadly expansion, and it is able to open outward even more reliably thanks to the notches that strategically weaken its rim.
Its hollow point nose cavity means this isn’t the most ballistically efficient projectile you could fire, although its 0.346 G1 ballistic coefficient does reflect its satisfactorily flat trajectory. If you’re shooting at 250 yards, you can expect the bullet’s trajectory to rise only 3.23” above the barrel. It’ll retain at least 1,000 ft lbs of energy until 560 yards, too.
Winchester seats their PHP in a prime brass case, with a first-rate primer and propellant charge to secure reliable ballistic performance. Order today before the warehouse guys decide to keep it for themselves!
