- Q & A
For successful skeet shooting, keep these things in mind. First and foremost, remember that your shotgun is a point-and-shoot gun, not a gun where you get a good sight picture and hang onto it while squeezing the trigger. Also, be sure to keep your eyes open, because it’s a lot easier to track your target with both eyes. The one exception to this is if you’re cross-dominant. How you hold your shotgun matters, too. Seasoned skeet shooters stand with their shotgun at the ready position, swinging it up to shoot the target right after yelling “pull.” Above all, keep at it, because practice really does make perfect.,/p>
These are 12 gauge rounds with a 1 1/8 ounce load, which provides significant power without the greater recoil of a 1 ¼ ounce load. In many ways 1 1/8 ounce loads are the sweet spot of buckshot rounds, allowing for substantial power without enormous recoil. These shells contain #7 ½ buckshot, which is great for skeet and other sport shooting endeavors. In fact, these are Winchester’s Super-Target rounds, made specifically so you have a great day breaking clay. Each round has a muzzle velocity of 1200 feet per second. If you want to break clay, you need sufficiently powerful loads, and these 1 1.8 ounce #7 ½ buckshot loads have you covered.
