- Q & A
The .308 Win is a rimless, bottlenecked rifle cartridge that was designed in 1952. It’s seen extensive use for military sniping, police sharpshooting, and civilian target practice, but at this point it’s best known as perhaps the most popular big-game hunting round on the market. There is some confusion because the .308 Win is similar to the 7.62x51mm NATO round, but they’re not actually identical. Although SAAMI lists their interchangeability as all right, shooters should exercise caution to avoid damaging their guns. The .308 Win is a fantastic cartridge, and if you use yours for hunting, these Sellier and Bellot rounds are just what you’ve been looking for.
At 150 grain these are considered lightweight for the cartridge, and that lighter weight means they can fly down-range with greater speed while still delivering enormous stopping power. These are SPCE rounds; their Soft Point means they begin to expand immediately upon impact, creating a catastrophic wound channel, while their Cutting Edge reduces the tumbling effect often seen in SP rounds. These rounds are designed to hit hard and create a massive wound channel through carefully controlled expansion, and they do just that. This ammunition is great for hunting although it can also be used for target practice and tactical training. Each round has impressive speed with a muzzle velocity of 2756 feet per second and hits like a freight train with a muzzle energy of 2530 foot-pounds.
You get 20 SPCE rounds in this single box. Sellier and Bellot manufactures this ammunition at their plant in Vlasim, Czech Republic; all ammunition adheres to stringent standards and meets SAAMI or CIP specifications. The company was founded in 1825 and has been flourishing since day one, and with two centuries of experience behind them you can be sure their products are not only well-made but reliable. Experienced shooters using Sellier and Bellot ammunition praise its dependable cycling and excellent performance; if you’re looking for quality .308 Win at reasonable prices, give Sellier and Bellot a shot. You’ll be glad you did.

S&B proved to be the most consistent factory ammo I've fired when measured by feet per second over a chronograph and, as every reloader and hi power shooter knows, consistency equals accuracy.
It stacked up as good as or better than my own reloads and quality surplus ball accuracy-wise.
