- Q & A
Remington was founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington, who got the company going after the flintlock rifle he designed and built using his father’s forge won second place in a competition and the orders began to pour in. Today Remington is the oldest and largest constantly-operating firearms and ammunition company in the United States, and their reputation precedes them. The name of Remington is synonymous with quality, and the proof is heard in every reliable “bang.”
These Remington rounds are for your .30-06. At 150 grain these are rather lightweight rounds, so they’re going to fly down-range at even greater speeds than normal, but they’re still heavy enough to produce serious impact. These are Metal Case (MC) rounds which are Remington’s version of FMJ, so they will not expand on impact. Each of these rounds zips towards targets at a muzzle velocity of 2910 feet per second and impacts with a muzzle energy of 2820 foot-pounds. This ammunition is fantastic for target practice, tactical training, and those days you just want to punch holes in water jugs and watermelons.
When you order this single box of ammunition you get 20 target rounds. This box is just the right size for tucking in your pocket when you hit the range or stashing in your range bag, but remember, it’s only 20 rounds. That’s a light snack for your powerful .30-06-chambered rifle, so you might want to buy more than one box to spend real quality time with your gun. Remington has half a dozen locations throughout the country, and each location has a specific job. Ammunition is manufactured at their plant in Lonoke, Arkansas. Order now, and feed your rifle.

Totally Satisfied
on 8/3/2013Great plinking ammo for iron sighted military rifles. On a recent outing friend and I used the Remmy 150gr FMJ ammo in a Colombian Mauser, M-1 Garrand, 03 and 03A3 Springfields. Shooting a 50% reduced sized deer target all through iron sights. The shot to shot accuracy at 100 yards was on par with surplus Lake City match. It shot considerably better than my shooting friend's steel cased ammo in the same rifles. Leaning on the side or sitting on my pickup's tailgate. The Remington ammo clustered surprisingly well, better than I expected through iron sight off hand shooting. Only a small handful of the 60 rds of Remmy 150 gr FMJ's were outside the deer target's highlighted kill zone. Impossible to use Kentucky windage with the steel ammo. The foreign made steel cased ammo were all over the targets with about 50% going high or low of the kill zone. 16 rds of Remmy through my M-1 shot without a hick-up. I did not shoot the steel ammo in my M-1. Well worth extra few bucks more than steel cased ammo but a considerably better price than Remmy ammo with expandable hunting bullets. Supports USA jobs and we also went home with reloadable brass. The steel cased hulls went right into the garbage as I unloaded my truck.
