.22LR is not only a great deal fun but an incredibly versatile round. It produces virtually no felt recoil, an incredibly quiet report, and is quite affordable. Those features make it ideal for teaching new shooters the ropes of the gun world. .22LR is also great for varmint and pest control, plinking, and, of course, honing your own marksmanship. Many survivalists see it as the ideal caliber for all those reasons along with how lightweight it is, and there are certainly quite a few points in its favor. One thing is for sure, if you have a .22LR, you probably go through a lot of ammunition, making this big bucket from Remington just what you need.
These .22LR rounds weigh 36 grain, making them lightweight while also within the standard weight range for this cartridge. Being lighter weight enables these rounds to zip down-range at impressive speeds. These are Hollow Point (HP) rounds and expand somewhat on impact, simultaneously decelerating, which protects innocent bystanders from over-penetration. Each of these rounds leaves the barrel of your gun at the muzzle velocity of 1280 feet per second and muzzle energy of 131 foot-pounds. This ammunition can be used for varmint and pest control as well as target practice and plinking.
This is an awesome bucket of ammo; it has 1400 rounds in it. Of course, if you think it’s going to last for a long time, you’re probably wrong. It’s incredibly easy to burn through 1400 rounds of .22LR, so you might want to consider buying more than one bucket. After all, you can use these to hunt squirrels, pick off the gophers burrowing in your yard, teach a friend to shoot, and, best of all, to punch holes in rows of pop cans and other interesting stationary targets. This ammunition is produced by Remington, a company that’s been in business since 1816 and is the largest, oldest constantly-operating ammunition company in the U.S. Ammunition is manufactured at their factory in Lonoke, Arkansas. If you’re ready to have a lot of fun with your .22LR, get your order in before someone else beats you to it.

- This price per round is incorrect. It’s almost $.19 per round Posted On: 12/26/2021 By: Jairus Wright
- Thaks for bringing that to my attention, Jairus! You are correct, of course. We're looking into why our system failed to automatically calculate the correct cost per round for this ammo.
