More Details About Our 250 Rounds of 158gr JHP .38 Spl Ammo by Hornady
Do you want handloaded quality for factory loaded prices? Do you want to fire one of the most effective jacketed hollow point bullets for self-defense on the market? Do you want American-made 38 Special ammunition? Then Hornady Custom will check every one of your boxes!
This cartridge features the eXtreme Terminal Performance jacketed hollow point projectile. The 158 grain XTP’s jacket features a cannelure that keeps the bullet locked into its seating in the case. That same jacket leaves no lead exposed around the nose cavity’s rim, thus preventing damage on impact that could have inhibited terminal expansion. The XTP’s jacket becomes thinner the closer it gets to the rim, and it also possesses multiple radial notches; both attributes work together to produce wider expansion, even at the 38 Special’s relatively low velocities. The XTP is also a well balanced bullet, with the swaged lead core and concentric copper-alloy jacket requisite for good rotational stability and resultant accuracy.
These high-grade revolver (and lever gun) cartridges are produced in Nebraska with reloadable brass cases, truly sensitive Boxer primers and powder which burns quickly, evenly and cleanly. Just say the word and we’ll ship you a case of 10 boxes fast.
