More Details About Our 50 Rounds of 158gr TMJ .357 Mag Ammo by Fiocchi
This is exactly the kind of 357 Magnum ammo you want for target shooting. It doesn’t matter if you’re firing a revolver or a lever-action rifle – Fiocchi gets the job done.
Fiocchi identifies this round’s 158 grain bullet as a “complete metal jacket.” That kind of bullet is more commonly known in the USA as a total metal jacket, which is similar to a full metal jacket with one important difference: The TMJ’s lead core is completely (or totally) encapsulated by its copper jacket. That’s why ignition can’t burn lead off the bullet’s core, which means both your bore and your lungs won’t accumulate lead residue.
This round’s bullet also has a flat point profile. It will deal greater damage to soft tissue than a round nose profile, but you’re better off picking a jacketed hollow point bullet for self-defense so that’s not a huge selling point. Really, most folks prefer the flat point profile when they’re shooting paper targets. The clean hole the flat nose punches through paper makes it easier to see how close together you’re landing your shots!
This is noncorrosive, Boxer-primed and brass-cased ammunition. It’s also reloadable, so don’t let those shiny brass shells bounce off the ground!
