Some 357 Magnum firearms are used for hunting. Some are used for self-defense. Some of them are even lever-action rifles. But whatever your 357 Mag is for, it’s going to be just about as useful as a screen door on a spaceship unless you do your range training ahead of time!

This round’s 158 grain bullet raises questions. A “complete metal jacket” is the same exact thing as a total metal jacket – its lead core is totally surrounded by copper. This round’s bullet also has a truncated cone profile – aka a flat nose or flat point. Whether you call it a CMJ FP, CMJ FN, TMJ FN or TMJ FP, this round’s bullet is going to make assessing your shot placement easier by cutting a clean and clearly defined hole through a paper target. It’s a bit like a semiwadcutter in that regard!
