More Details About Our 50 Rounds of 40gr LHP .22 LR Ammo by Fiocchi
This 22 LR ammunition by Fiocchi is great if you want to do a little casual plinking or target shooting. It’s also great for putting holes through small game. But if you’re just looking for subsonic ammo that won’t make jarring reports, then you’ve come to the right web page!
Fiocchi loads this cartridge with a 40 grain projectile – the most popular weight for a 22 LR bullet. The round’s propellant charge is a little weaker than average, though, so even a rifle will deliver a subsonic muzzle velocity to the tune of 1,060 feet per second. A bullet which doesn’t break the sound barrier fires more quietly, and it also boasts better accuracy by sheer virtue of the fact that it can’t pick up a little wobble as its velocity transitions from super- to subsonic.
The lead hollow point projectile hasn’t got a thin coating of copper to reduce the rate of barrel leading. But it has got the little nose cavity it needs to widen out as it bores through a squirrel, crow, hare or other small game creature. Use this ammo for hunting! What are the crows going to do about it? Fly away, presumably, but at least they can no longer terrorize your garden after they’ve left.
