- Would you please help me out by converting these mm calibers to american calibers, 5.45x39mm, 6.5x55mm, 7.92x57mm, 7.65x39mm,7.62x54r. Thank you J Pierce Posted On: 1/29/2020 By: Jerry Pierce
- Sorry for the late response! 5.45x39mm, 6.5x55mm Swedish, 7.92x57mm Mauser, 7.62x39mm, and 7.62x54mmR are all those rounds' proper American names. American shooters frequently retain European rounds' metric names for simplicity's sake.
That said, those rounds have the following bullet diameters in inches: 5.45x39mm (0.220 in); 6.5x55mm Swedish (0.264 in); 7.92x57mm Mauser (0.324 in); 7.62x39mm (0.309-0.311 in); 7.62x54mmR (0.312 in).
