More Details About Our 200 Rounds of 190gr HPBT .300 Win Mag Ammo by Federal
Accuracy isn’t a gift bestowed from the heavens. You have to reach out and take it for yourself. Invest time at the range. Invest in an awesome rifle. And invest in a case of Federal Premium’s Gold Medal 300 Winchester Magnum ammunition while you’re at it.
This cartridge is loaded with a 190 grain bullet – heavy, to promote better momentum retention and wind drift resistance over long distances. But the bullet is not merely massive. It is the MatchKing hollow point boat tail by Sierra, which combines virtually perfect jacket concentricity, uniform weight distribution and a sleek profile to achieve a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.533 (G7 0.275). The bullet only has to rise 17.77” above the bore line to hit a bullseye at 500 yards – or 103.35” if you’re really stretching your reach out to 1,000 yards – and it will not become subsonic until it has reached 1,306 yards.
The hollow point boat tail is not a hunting bullet. Its nose cavity is only there because its core was injected into place while it was still molten, thus enabling it to conform to the jacket’s interior geometry. These match grade cartridges run like clockwork thanks to Federal’s own benchrest-quality Gold Medal primers, precision brass cases and specially formulated powder.
