Blazer is a subsidiary of Cascade Cartridges, Inc., which is better known in the firearms world as CCI, a company founded in 1951 by Richard Speer. Realizing how difficult it would be to come up with the necessary metal, Richard decided to take on a problem he could fix: the primer shortage. These .38 Special rounds are a medium-weight 158 grain. They’re Total Metal Jacket, which is like FMJ only the bullet is entirely encased meaning lead doesn’t go airborne when you fire your gun. In addition, these are CCI’s Clean Fire rounds, which are carefully tailored not to release toxins such as lead, barium, and antimony into the air.
