Dick Speer founded CCI (Cascade Cartridges Inc) in 1951. Prior to his getting involved in the firearms business he’d been a machinist at Boeing, and his skills there translated well to the world of ammunition. CCI has become known for many things but perhaps their greatest achievements – aside from the popularity of the high-quality primer – is their .22LR. After more than 60 years in business CCI has the production produce down to a science; their ammunition performs reliably and well. If you’ve never used CCI’s .22LR it’s past time you did, and if you have used it you’re obviously back for more.
These .22LR rounds are quite lightweight at just 32 grain, but that lighter weight means they’re going to move with fantastic speed. These are CPHP (Copper Plated Hollow Point) rounds. The copper helps them fire more cleanly and reliably while the HPs mean they begin to expand immediately upon impact. And because these are CCI’s Stinger rounds, they move with extra speed at a muzzle velocity of 1640 feet per second and impact with a muzzle energy of 191 foot-pounds. This ammunition is great for target practice, plinking, and pest control such as squirrels.
When you order this box of Stingers from CCI you get 50 rounds. That’s just enough for a light snack for your .22LR-chambered firearm – or you can order multiple boxes and sling lead down-range for a longer time. The .22LR is quite versatile and can be used to teach brand new shooters the ropes, to go plinking, to hunt small game and pests, and to hone your own marksmanship skills. CCI manufactures ammunition at their longtime plant in Lewiston, Idaho, right along the banks of the Snake River. Get your order in right away to experience the increased speed of CCI Stinger rounds.

Shooters Reviews
Shoots hard, groups ok, will destroy a predators skull
on 7/31/2024Ammo is a little much for shooting small varmints. Blows them apart. Works well for foxes and coons so far. Hollow point leaves plenty big enough hole in the skull. Gave clean deaths for the predators. Was more blood than I'm used to so the ammo must be working.
Flawless performance. Fired in a Glock 44 and a Ruger 10/22.
