More Details About This Black Hills Ammunition 158gr LFN .38 Spl Ammo
Looking for a trusty companion the next time you take your 38 Special or 357 Magnum firearm out for a little target practice? Check out this fine 38 Spl ammo by Black Hills of South Dakota!
This cartridge features a somewhat uncommon but versatile projectile: the conical nose lead (CNL). It is a solid lead projectile, without a hard copper jacket. That means the CNL will put more lead fouling inside of your firearm’s barrel, but it also means the bullet poses a significantly lower risk of deflecting shrapnel back toward the firing line if it strikes a hard surface – perfect if you like shooting steel silhouettes like a real cowboy should.
The CNL has a perfectly flat nose profile. It will put a clean hole through a sheet of paper, and it is also unable to ignite the primer it touches inside of a lever-action rifle’s tube magazine. The CNL’s sloping side profile also makes it a little easier to slide into place in a revolver’s cylinder!
Don’t let this ammo’s packaging trick you into thinking it’s old-fashioned. In addition to reusable brass cases, it features modern clean-igniting smokeless propellant and completely noncorrosive Boxer primers.
