More Details About This Barnes 140gr SCHP .357 Mag Ammo
Barnes VOR-TX 357 Magnum ammunition is loaded with the XPB – a solid copper hollow point that provides exactly the performance you want when the situation at hand is far from ideal.
This Utah-made cartridge’s 140 grain XPB is 100% copper. You could very well use it for compliant hunting in jurisdictions which ban lead bullets. However you employ the XPB, you can expect great accuracy. The bullet is obviously incapable of putting lead residue inside a barrel, which conserves its rifling’s ability to impart rotational stability to the bullet. The XPB is precision machined from pure bar stock, so its weight is evenly distributed and its profile is perfectly streamlined.
The XPB is an exceedingly durable bullet, and it hasn’t got a jacket that could split apart from its core. That’s the secret to the monolithic projectile’s ability to penetrate very deeply. Rather than simply mushroom outward, the XPB protrudes six angular petals – a total of 12 sharp corners that rake against soft tissue to create an absolutely crippling wound channel.
Barnes’ ammunition is the genuine article, with strong reloadable brass cases, dependable Boxer primers, and bullets which are safely compatible with lever-action rifles’ tubular magazines.
