- Q & A
The 9x19mm Parabellum/Luger was designed in 1901 and entered production in 1902. Its creator, Georg Luger, had a serious obsession with ammunition that affected the small arms world massively with his addition of the 9mm. The 9mm was a round all its own upon its creation and was made to some specific specifications:
- Case type: rimless, tapered
- Bullet diameter: 9.01mm
- Neck diameter: 9.65mm
- Base diameter: 9.93mm
- Rim diameter: 9.96mm
- Rim thickness: 1.27mm
- Case length: 19.15mm
- Overall length: 29.69mm
This particular 9mm ammunition is made by Armscor, a company located in the Philippines. They’ve been in business for more than sixty years and have had lengthy experience producing both firearms and ammunition. They use the latest technology in the production of their ammunition including using Computer Numerical Control to ensure precision and their own meticulous craftsmanship. Their ammunition is used on a global level by members of the military, law enforcement, and civilians. All ammunition is produced to exacting standards and meets SAAMI or CIP specifications.
These are medium-weight rounds at 124 grain. Their middle weight gives them the ability to move fast while still being heavy enough to make a serious impression. As FMJ rounds these are best for target practice, tactical training, and plinking. Each round is precision manufactured in a virgin brass case with boxer primer so they can be reloaded. There are a whopping 1000 target rounds in this case, and if that’s not a good place to start, we don’t know what is. With all this ammo you can hone your marksmanship skills pretty significantly, working on accuracy, drawing speed, and firing prone, among others. Your 9mm must be hungry; feed it.
