Ammo Inc. loaded these range rounds with special bullets that reduce lead exposure. The total metal jacket (aka total metal case) projectile features a lead core that is completely encapsulated by its gilding metal jacket. The copper-alloy shell doesn’t permit contact between the searing hot propellant gasses and lead core during ignition. You’ll enjoy a cleaner barrel and better health as a result!
The TMJ projectile delivers the same terminal ballistics as an FMJ, which is to say that it cannot expand. But its nose profile is flat, so you can confidently stack these cartridges up in a lever-action firearm’s tube.
