More Details About Our 420 Rounds of 62gr FMJ M855 5.56x45 Ammo in Ammo Can by Winchester
This 420-round can of ammo is perfect for prepping, target shooting, and home defense with an AR-15 or any other style of 5.56x45 rifle!
The M855 round packs a versatile 62 grain bullet. On the outside it is just your ordinary FMJ projectile, with the hard copper jacket that smooth feeding demands and a ballistically efficient profile. The magnetic bullet’s slightly heavier weight gives it a little greater protection against wind drift as well, plus faster velocities at several hundred yards.
On the inside the M855 has something unique: a seven grain steel tip. This enables the M855 bullet to penetrate walls and steel plating with ease, which provides obvious tactical advantages. The bullet’s lead and steel core sections may also break apart during high-velocity penetration to produce multiple wound channels.
Winchester’s new brass cases are only gray because they have been annealed for added durability. They are reloadable, and their Boxer primers are non-corrosive. Stripper clips make these rounds easy to slip into a magazine (spoon included), and the sturdy steel ammo can it all comes packaged in will keep your rifle ammo fresh as apple pie for decades.
