Aguila managed to pack quite a bit of power into the shell, which chucks its 7/8 ounce rifled slug at a muzzle velocity of 1,250 fps. It’s a pretty light slug, relatively speaking – the reason why you’ll note gentler recoil, which is helpful if you’re trying to avoid fatigue or soften muzzle flip – albeit still powerful enough to neutralize a threat or wallop a deer within reasonable range.

This shell is a little less than two-thirds as long as a standard 2-3/4” round. That translates to a higher magazine capacity (tubular, not detachable box, as semi-automatics cannot cycle Minishell ammo). Made in Mexico by the same company that makes metallic cartridges for the Mexican armed forces!
