More Details About Our 200 Rounds of 208gr A-MAX .300 AAC Blackout Ammo by Hornady
This BLACK label 300 AAC Blackout cartridge by Hornady is designed to do one thing and one thing only: deliver the delicious accuracy you need to group your shots tighter than a flea's behind stretched over a rain barrel.
This round serves up superlative precision thanks to the power of Hornady’s 208 grain A-MAX. It’s a match bullet, with the super concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core it requires to exhibit virtually flawless in-flight rotational stability. The A-MAX encounters as little air resistance as possible courtesy of its ultra low-drag tip, streamlined secant ogive profile and perfectly angled boat tail.
This round’s heavy bullet is the reason behind its low and slow 1,020 fps muzzle velocity. A bullet which never becomes supersonic also can’t transition to subsonic velocity, so it totally avoids transonic destabilization. Sure, it’ll drop off faster than a supersonic bullet, but this ammo’s trajectories are going to prove a lot more consistent at long range.
This round’s 0.648 G1 BC bullet’s polymer tip is not designed to initiate terminal expansion. In other words, it’s not the right choice for self-defense or tagging medium game. But if you’re only after accuracy, you’ll be hard-pressed to find much better 300 BLK than Nebraska’s finest.
