This cartridge showcases the barrier-blind performance of the FlexLock jacketed hollow point bullet. If you were to cut it in half longitudinally, you would be able to see how the bullet’s InterLock band embeds its tough jacket to its equally tough alloyed lead core. That serves to eliminate (or at the very least dramatically reduce) core/jacket separation, which can rob the bullet of the momentum it needs to pass deeply into its target.

You can see the FlexLock’s Flex Tip well enough without destroying it. It’s a column of polymer which keeps the nose cavity free and clear of debris, including clothing, plywood and sheetrock. Once the FlexTip meets soft tissue, it compresses to promote faster and wider expansion.
