More Details About Our 200 Rounds of 150gr XP .350 Legend Ammo by Winchester
Every waiter wants the same thing: a big tip. Turns out that’s what deer hunters need as well! When you choose Winchester’s Deer Season XP series 350 Legend ammunition for your upcoming buck hunt, you can count on the awesome performance of the Extreme Point (XP) bullet!
This round’s 150 grain XP sports an abnormally large polymer tip. Whereas a run-of-the-mill polymer tipped bullet’s tip takes up about 22% of its frontal surface area, the XP’s tip comprises 48%.
Is the giant tip just a cosmetic feature? Heavens to Murgatroyd, no it is not! The tip greatly streamlines the bullet’s overall profile to minimize frontal air resistance. The XP also features the jacket concentricity and uniform core it requires to exhibit exemplary gyroscopic stability. The net benefit of all these features is a bullet that achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.226. Sight in at 200 yards and your trajectory shouldn’t have to rise by more than 4.55”.
The XP’s big tip doesn’t stop working once it reaches its target. The tip’s broad base and thin surrounding jacket mouth work together to deliver massive terminal expansion alongside rapid and destructive outward energy transfer. The XP’s alloyed lead core remains intact enough to ensure a long wound channel as well. Brass-cased, reloadable and dependable as all get out, you can’t go wrong with Deer Season XP!
