More Details About This Igman Ammunition 55gr FMJ 5.56x45 Ammo
The AR-15 has a major design flaw: It cannot work without ammo! Maybe one day gun scientists will find a way to work around this issue, but until then you’d better make sure you’re healthily stocked up on 5.56x45 ammunition.
This particular 5.56 hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it was made by a company that has been operational for over seven decades. Igman followed the tried and true M193 specs when they chose this round’s traditional 55 grain full metal jacket. That’s a solid point bullet that cannot undergo terminal expansion, but its affordable design and reliable functionality in all semi-automatic platforms make it the go-to solution for target shooting. Worried about whether Igman’s FMJ will attract a magnet? Set those fears aside, because the bullet’s lead-antimony alloy core and copper-zinc alloy jacket are both perfectly nonferrous.
Igman hasn’t touched a corrosive primer in decades. This ammo’s noncorrosive Boxer primers (which are also nicely sealed) prove it. This ammo is also furnished with brand new factory fresh brass cases. They are reloadable, and they are only gray around their shoulders because military grade cases typically aren’t polished after they have been annealed for added toughness.
