This round is loaded with a 220 grain hard cast projectile. Although predominantly made of lead, it is too high-antimony to undergo any significant degree of deformation as it plows through hide, muscle, bone and organ tissue. This is why the hard cast is a poor choice for conventional self-defense; it will go right through a human assailant. But when your goal is to defeat a tough animal’s natural armor, a hard cast is your best bet.

This ammo is loaded with Underwood’s best supporting components. They include:
• Black Cherry polymer bullet coatings which prevent gas cutting, lead fouling, and abrasion that could damage rifling – polygonal or otherwise
• Nickel-plated brass cases, which are just as smooth-cycling in a semi-auto as they are resistant to corrosion
• Flash-suppressed propellant, which emits too little light to instantly blind the shooter upon squeezing off their first shot in the dark
