More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 175gr Terminal Ascent 30-06 Springfield Ammo by Federal
The year 3006 is less than a thousand years away. Start making plans! But if you’d rather celebrate sooner than later, Federal Premium’s 30-06 Terminal Ascent ammunition makes a great way to go about it. This round’s 175 grain bonded, polymer-tipped and match accurate hunting projectile can turn any creature you encounter into a fine trophy!
The Terminal Ascent has every accuracy-enhancing feature in the book: Slipstream polymer tip, near-perfect jacket concentricity, optimally angled boat tail, and even Federal’s own AccuChannel grooves. They’re all reasons why the 175 grain Terminal Ascent boasts a high 0.520 G1 ballistic coefficient (0.258 G7), which is why its trajectory to a 500-yard target shouldn’t have to rise by more than 20.7” above the muzzle.
Even at 500 yards, the Terminal Ascent would retain approximately 1,450 ft lbs of kinetic energy – enough to ethically harvest an elk. The bullet’s fused-together core and jacket assure deep penetration at any effective range, and its blue tip smashes inward to commence devastating terminal expansion at impressively low velocities. Federal seats their versatile hunting bullet in a nickel-plated brass case, with their best primer and propellant to back it up.
