More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 147gr FMJBT 7.62x51 Ammo by PMC
Looking for mil-spec 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition for your AR-10 or 308 Win rifle? Check out what PMC made for you in South Korea! This ammunition is loaded in accordance with U.S. military M80 specifications: 147 grain full metal jacket boat tail, 2,800 fps muzzle velocity out of a 24” test barrel. Iit’s just what Dr. Target Practice ordered!
The FMJBT is not considered a hunting bullet, as its solid point profile leaves it unable to expand during penetration. It is a cost-effective bullet, albeit an accurate one which should not undergo transonic destabilization until approximately 980 yards. Its lead core and copper-alloy jacket also make the FMJBT completely nonmagnetic. Fire it at whichever range you please!
This new production (i.e. not military surplus) ammunition features sealed necks and Boxer primers, the latter of which are noncorrosive. PMC’s virgin brass cases are also reloadable! Pay no mind to the slight discoloration surrounding the case’s neck – that is the byproduct of the heat treatment process all brass cases undergo at the factory. PMC just doesn’t bother making this ammo a little prettier by buffing the discoloration out.
