More Details About Our 20 Rounds of 140gr Open Tip 6.5 Creedmoor Ammo by Winchester
You might feel like you’re ready – but are you USA Ready? Not until you’ve ordered a few boxes of this fine 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition by Winchester, you’re not! Whether you’re shooting competitively or simply want great accuracy when no one else is around to appreciate it, this is your ammo!
This cartridge is loaded with a 140 grain open tip projectile. The bullet’s thin, streamlined copper jacket minimizes frontal air resistance to promote greater velocity retention and a flatter resultant trajectory. Its flat base provides propellant gas with a uniform surface to exert its energy against. Its cannelure prevents the open tip from getting knocked out of its ideal seating depth in the magazine. In addition to its concentric jacket, the open tip exhibits great gyroscopic stability courtesy of its form-fitted lead core.
The open tip would certainly destroy a varmint, but its nose cavity will not produce the terminal expansion required for ethical hunting of medium game. The non-expanding open tip’s terminal ballistics look more like those of an FMJ – not a JHP. These cartridges’ performance is all the more consistent thanks to Winchester’s match Boxer primers, uniform payloads of low-residue propellant, and premium reloadable polished brass cases!
