More Details About This Bannerman 139gr FMJBT 6.5mm JAP Ammo
You may already have head of the Bannerman catalog, which once sold everything from military surplus blankets to military surplus cannons. If you’re not already familiar with it, then we encourage you to check out the 1903 edition online.
Sadly, the catalog no longer exists. No more affordable blankets and cannons for hardworking Americans. But the Bannerman name still lives on, because it graces this new production 6.5 Japanese (i.e. 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka) ammunition!
This cartridge is loaded with a 139 grain bullet – just 0.1 grain heavier than the Japanese military’s original specifications called for. The full metal jacket boat tail is just as incapable of terminal expansion as it is attracting a magnet, and it’s equipped with the sloping base it needs in order to resist wind deflection.
This ammo’s target bullets are seated in virgin reloadable brass cases (manufactured by Prvi Partizan), complete with modern smokeless propellant and corrosion-free Boxer primers.
