This round’s 124 grain projectile is an FMJ, with a solid lead core and a bimetal jacket. Only the outermost surface of a bimetal jacket is made of copper. The rest is made of cost-effective steel, which is why this ammo is guaranteed to attract a magnet.

This ammo’s cases are also made of steel. They do even more to keep your ammo costs down, although they’re not reloadable (unless you have specialized equipment, hard-to-find primers, and more free time than anyone has any business having).
