More Details About Our 1000 Rounds of 95gr FMJ .380 ACP Ammo by Tula
Tula’s steel-cased ammunition is a great way to save moolah while you’re taking care of business at the range. Unfortunately, many ranges ban Tula’s ammo because its bullets contain steel – but this 380 ACP ammo is an exception!
This cartridge is loaded with a 100% steel-free 95 grain full metal jacket projectile. The FMJ’s lead core and brass jacket are completely nonferrous, so the bullet cannot attract a magnet and doesn’t pose a higher risk of damaging a backdrop or emitting sparks when it scrapes against a hard surface.
Tula loads this ammo with their usual economical steel cases, which are zinc-plated for added corrosion resistance. To be certain: steel cases are not reloadable, and their relative rigidity does mean your handgun will accumulate fouling in its action at an accelerated pace, but those are both shortcomings worth dealing with if you want to train and plink on a budget. This ammo’s Berdan primers are non-corrosive, and it ignites reliably at temperatures ranging from -4 to 122 °F.
For clarification, this entire cartridge will attract a magnet thanks to its steel case. Its bullet does not contain steel and will not attract a magnet, as that is the component ranges actually care about when they ban “magnetic ammo.”
