More Details About Our 1000 Rounds of 55gr FMJ .223 Ammo by Browning
Do you know why people order ammo by the case? Because it’s a whole heckuva lot easier than ordering 50 individual boxes. If you’d like to secure hours of shooting pleasure, then you need look no further than Browning’s big bundle of 223 Rem!
This is the target shooter’s 223 round. Crowned with a 55 grain FMJ, it just needs your aim to reliably seek and thwack its target. Browning’s FMJ is a nonmagnetic projectile, with a lead core and gilding metal jacket and nothing else inside. A cannelure in the bullet helps to keep it in place under the force of recoil, and its brittle jacket will fragment apart should the bullet sink into soft tissue at a high enough velocity.
Browning’s American-made rifle ammo is loaded with clean-burning powder, non-corrosive Boxer primers and new production brass cases. The discoloration around the case indicates that it was annealed at the factory – a process which made its mouth, neck and shoulder more durable. It’s not exactly pretty, but no one’s going to see it inside the chamber anyway!
