More Details About This Stelth 165gr TMJ 9mm Ammo
StelTH ammunition is made by Ammo Inc., an American company with factories in Arizona and Wisconsin. StelTH 9mm ammo is specially designed for use with a suppressor, which it supports through cleaner and quieter performance.
The typical FMJ bullet leaves behind lead fouling, because the heat of ignition evaporates lead off the exposed base of its core. This round’s TMJ bullet solves that problem with its total jacket, which seals its lead core behind copper. StelTH propellant is additionally treated to minimize residue buildup. These two features complement one another as they deposit appreciably less fouling inside a suppressor.
The heaviest factory-loaded 9mm bullet usually weighs 147 grains. This round’s bullet is nearly 10% heavier than that at 165 grains. The big bullet’s inertia is too great to achieve a very fast muzzle velocity, which keeps its report quieter and more easily managed by a suppressor.
Ammo Inc. loads StelTH ammunition with their own new production brass. It is non-corrosive Boxer primed, and it will reload well once you’ve sent its big bullets flying at the range.
