The secret to the TMJ is its jacket, which totally surrounds its lead core. The bullet’s fully jacketed base leaves no part of its core exposed to the white-hot heat of ignition. No lead gets seared off of the bullet and onto your barrel’s rifling; no lead gets vaporized for you to subsequently inhale. And thanks to its subsonic muzzle velocity, this ammo’s also great for when you want quieter reports or better performance from your suppressor.
